SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for day-to-day human resource administrative functions and record keeping. Prepares personnel forms, records statistics and handles highly confidential material in the human resources department. Duties include ensuring compliance of state and federal employment laws and regulations, manage recruiting, new-hire processing, and maintaining human resources information system.
Recruits for direct hire and temporary positions, both in production and office environments.
Conducts New Hire orientations (to include benefits and 401k orientations), arranges for physical examinations and employment tests, arranges supervisory interview, checks references, and coordinates final hiring requirements.
Assures compliance of Champion Aerospace LLC Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, Affirmative Action Plan, OFCCP requirements, and International Trade Compliance policies.
Advises other concerned personnel on the procedures and paperwork requirements to effect personnel transactions. Maintains appropriate records on all associates in Human Resource Information system.
Accountable for all information entered into the ADP Personnel/Payroll system for all associates. Responsible to assure all information is accurate and prepares appropriate reports and transactions for dissemination to Division and Corporate from the System. This system is responsible for each associate’s pay and benefits.
Coordinates company participation in various community and personnel programs, provides liaison between external agencies, prepares correspondence and other related communications and follows-up on status and progress.
Partners with local colleges, technical colleges, and high schools to develop co-op and recruiting programs. Attends job fairs and events to promote Champion Aerospace.
Exercises independent judgment in the performance of duties as well as performing other general office duties not consistent with the personnel function.
All other duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources/Recruiting preferred Excellent Communications Skill Experience with ADP HRIS/Payroll Platforms preferred
