IT Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for directing multiple system activities including the development of new systems and enhancements to current systems. Interacts with customer management to provide rapid, efficient solutions to business requirements. Must demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior in the performance of all duties.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Strategic Planning
a) Maintain knowledge of developing trends in hardware and software.
b) Make recommendations to management concerning options for maintaining state of the art capabilities with respect to IT.
c) Participate as key member of IT Steering Committee, where applicable, which identifies and prioritizes actions aimed at improving information processing and access.
d) Maintain detailed disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime in case of catastrophic damage.
2. Programming
a) Plan and direct all programming tasks meeting all required completion dates.
b) Assist Steering Committee with the prioritization of projects.
c) Maintain SOX compliance with respect to change management controls.
3. Operations
a) Minimize system downtime to provide broad availability to authorized users.
b) Ensure backup plan is strictly followed to guarantee adequate data protection that includes offsite storage.
c) Ensure compliance with current corporate policies.
4. Upgrades
a) Plan and coordinate all necessary upgrades of both hardware and software according to detailed strategic plan.
b) Ensure the integrity of data before and after all upgrades.
5. Other
a) Act as primary contact for hardware, software, and maintenance vendors.
b) Assist VP of Finance in coordinating contracts with vendors for outside services, primarily maintenance contracts.
c) Procure all supplies and components for maintenance of PCs, networks, etc. paying strict attention to department budget constraints.
d) Maintain SOX compliance with both internal and external audit teams.
e) Assist with obtaining and maintaining both NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance for Champion Aerospace.
f) Assist compliance initiatives within other functional areas needing IT assistance. Such as ITC and ISO certifications.
g) Assist Champion Aerospace in migrating from legacy systems to more modern and robust systems where needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have an Information Technology degree or five to seven years’ experience in an IT management environment or project management related to IT.

Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft products.

Must have extensive functional knowledge of networking, routers, switches, and other network related equipment.

Must have an advanced understanding of cybersecurity and the threat landscape associated to this risk.
